Peter Sparrey is a British studio
potter living and working in Normandie, France, producing finely
thrown studio pottery from a stoneware clay body dug locally in
St. Amand and a fine porcelain body manufactured by Valentine Clays
Ltd., Stoke-on-Trent, England.

Using a variety of techniques rich
colour development is achieved in the glazes. Ranging from deeply
intense iron bearing tenmoku, vibrant ’sang de boeuf’
copper reds and cool celadon, ash and chun glazes. Most pieces are
reduction fired to 1300 degrees centigrade in a gas kiln.
